Tri Tip Sandwich
- Whole Burgundy Pepper Tri Tip
- Seaside Classic BBQ Sauce
- 6 Brioche Hamburger Buns
Over high BBQ heat, grill Tri Tip 5 minutes on each side so that it has a good char. This also caramelizes the marinade and keeps the juices in. Move tri tip off of direct heat and cover BBQ, approximately 10 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 130 degrees for medium rare. Remove from grill and let rest, loosely covered with foil, for 10 minutes. Toast buns under broiler or heat in oven to warm them. Slice tri tip against the grain of the meat (this is important) in approximately ¼" thick slices. Pile meat on bun and add BBQ sauce to taste.
